Mark is the old man of the team. He has a background in rowing (crew) — he was a U.S. national team candidate in the 1990s, and won several national rowing titles with the Potomac Boat Club in Washington D.C.
Formerly a professional rock-climbing guide, Mark has raced on road and mountain bikes, and now competes in snowshoe events during the winter months. He's an avid trail runner, and in 2003 he traveled to India and Nepal to compete in the Himalayan Run/Trek, a 100-mile stage race.
